If you’ve followed my blog for a while you’ll know that t this time of year we are in production for AW19. We popped down to the mill last week with photographer & creative Paula Russell to capture some behind-the-scenes action. I’m really excited about some of our new designs and although we can’t share everything today I hope you’ll enjoy some of these sneak peeks!
First up are these gorgeous Tiger Beanies which are exclusive to Bloomingdales for AW19! I love this deep charcoal colour, it’s so wearable and will pair nicely with any Winter coat.
Lots of hand stitching and finishing goes into our products, from sewing in labels, attaching pom poms , or sewing in loose ends. The team at the mill have worked there for over 20 years and are highly experienced.
Below: I love this new shade for AW19 – It’s called Mushroom and is such a gorgeous neutral.
Below: Our technician, Dave, working on some new wrist-warmer designs.
Below: Yarn ready to be threaded up to the machines, I love our colour palette for AW19! It’s really soft and pretty – Lilac, Mushroom, Rose Quartz, Linen, and Vino are just some of the lovely colours you’ll be seeing!
Below: This beautiful spot is two minutes from the mill and is the perfect tranquil spot to walk the dogs after we’ve finished meetings in the mill. Daphne & Edith come everywhere with me so before we head back to Edinburgh or onto Hawick I always make sure they have a good run around this beautiful park & riverside walk.
Thank you to Paula Russell Photography.
