We loved working with the gorgeous Taylor Gillies on our AW16 photoshoot. She was such a dream to work with and always in high spirits despite the rather damp weather we experienced on the day of the shoot! As the face of our AW16 Campaign we wanted to get more of an insight into what makes Taylor tick, so we caught up with her a quick fire interview.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m 18 years old and an English literature student at Edinburgh University, and a model with Colours Agency in Glasgow.

Where is home?

Although I’ve been living in Edinburgh for my first year of uni, I’m just getting ready to move back to my hometown of Leven, which is a seaside town in Fife, as uni is almost finished for summer.

How did you get into modelling?

A photographer contacted me through instagram for a test shoot and that introduced me to the idea of signing with an agency.

Describe a typical work week?

Although my course doesn’t have a lot of lectures and tutorials I have to read a lot of novels! So you can usually find me in the library with my nose in a book!

What or who inspires you?

I wish I could be as cool as Alexa Chung or Ali Michael.

What’s on your iPod at the moment?

I’m listening to lots of Biffy Clyro right now as I’m excited to see them in Glasgow in a couple of months! Also Rihanna’s new album.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Probably buying too many clothes. If I have a stressful day at uni, Topshop is way to close too my student halls for me to not do some retail therapy.

Favourite films?

I love lots of films, I’m hoping to study some as I go into my honours years! I really like Wes Anderson films, The Royal Tenenbaums is my favourite film of his.the-royal-tenenbaums-film-posterROSIE SUGDEN AW16

What do you love most about Edinburgh?

I like that it’s the perfect size. It’s big enough to have everything you need, but you can also walk everywhere. It’s so pretty too, there’s lots of old buildings that are so nice.

Best brunch or dinner in Edinburgh?

The Boozy Cow does the best ,and messiest, burgers ever and amazing milkshakes for dessert.

Favourite place in Scotland?

My favourite places are probably all of the seaside towns nearby my home like Crail, Anstruther and Largo. Walking along the beaches and climbing Largo Law are some of my favourite things to do in the summer.
