I love visiting our manufacturer in the Scottish Borders. I’ve been working with the same manufacturer since I started the business and it’s great to have seen both our businesses grow and expand over the last 3 years. I’m so lucky to live so close to the factory and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My day often changes last minute and therefore to be able to hop in my car down the mill without any prior notice that I’m popping in is ideal for me. I do love being in the mill surrounded by the machines and things being made. I grew up visiting mills with my Father, he used to pick me up from school when I was little and we would often go round the weaving shed, dye-house or finishing department. I loved seeing all the processes and seeing raw material being turned into a beautiful garment or shawl. Provenance is important to me and I am a firm believer in manufacturing in the UK. I am proud to say my collection is made in Scotland.

Below are some behind the scenes pictures of various beanies and snoods being made. Hope you enjoy!
